- These handsome birdhouses are designed here at Blue Gable Farm. We start with unique interpretations of our themes, add appliqued, cedar figures and lots of color. Folk art-for you or your bird friends.
- They are handcrafted of cedar, primed and painted with quality, outdoor paint. If a piece should break, repair is easy with outdoor glue.
- They are designed with real birds in mind. The opening is high enough to protect nestlings and the correct size for the smaller song birds (bluebirds, chickadees, finch, swallows, warblers, wrens and more). The bottoms come off for spring cleaning Most have hangers for outdoor hanging.
- Outdoors, yes; but, they would be a colorful addition to a sun room, porch, Florida room or child's room. If a tree or fence post is not handy, they can sit on brackets on a house wall, under an overhang. A tree or shrub for perching should be near by. Creativity in locating is yours.
- Most of the patterns shown are in regular production. As they are handcrafted, each one will differ. Colors and background designs seem to keep evolving. Some color choices are possible.
- Items can be personalized, such as the barns with farm names. Birdhouses as baby or children gifts also lend themselves to naming.
- Unique, custom, and one-of-a-kind birdhouses are part of the fun. See the page with these "special" items. If you are interested in something a little different - OR VERY DIFFERENT - please let us know. Hostess gifts, customer gifts (unique to your company?), baby gifts, or something we just have not thought of - tell us about it.
